Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology is the sophisticated laser system that helps us produce high-resolution, topographic aerial survey maps with pinpoint accuracy. We’ve made a substantial investment in these tools and proudly offer one of only a few LiDAR mapping systems of its kind in the Americas.

Flying one of our own aircraft, with LiDAR and imagery sensors onboard, we can collect survey grade data at a rate of up to 2,000,000 measurements per second, with point densities of more than 100 points per square meter, resulting in the most detailed, timely, and accurate mapping data possible, with unheard-of turnaround times at extremely competitive rates.

We strive for better than 0.05’ tolerances on aerial LiDAR data, far surpassing most mapping specs and easily outdoing our competitors.

But what really sets us apart from other aerial surveying companies is that Bearing Tree “puts boots on the ground”. Which simply means we perform quality control field checks using our own licensed surveyors to verify all the aerial LiDAR data we collect. As professional land surveyors as well as aerial mappers, we completely understand each project from beginning to end, performing our own control surveys, plus quality assurance and quality control, with cutting-edge technology.
